Filter reactors are used to limit current surges caused by sudden voltage changes and overvoltage operations in the power grid, smooth out peak pulses contained in the power supply voltage, or smooth out voltage defects generated during commutation in bridge rectifier circuits. They effectively protect the frequency converter and improve power factor. They can not only prevent interference from the power grid, but also reduce the pollution of harmonic currents generated by rectifier units on the power grid.
